Box Midas
Midas is a square wooden box that raises everyday storage on four small red shoes. Rings, keys, coins and folded notes fit beneath the lid, while the gold-toned exterior ensures nobody mistakes it for the sensible container it technically is.Each Midas is built and painted by hand. Layers of warm gold, green, blue and coral cover the lid and sides, with black outlines and curling ornament drawn freehand around the square form. The shoes and narrow borders are picked out last. The pattern crosses every face without mechanical repetition, so no two Midas boxes are identical.It belongs on a dressing table, hallway console, bedside cabinet or desk where small objects gather. Use it for dry contents rather than food. Clean with a dry cloth, avoid solvents and do not soak the painted wood. Midas is intended for indoor use. It cannot turn the contents to gold. It has taken care of the appearance instead.
