Duck Erna
Erna steps out of the Fairy Tale Collection in a costume fit for the final page. Rainbow colour and exotic ornament transform this duck into a carnival character who seems to have rewritten the familiar story in her own favour.Cast in marble resin, Erna is trimmed, sanded and painted by hand. Patterns are layered across the body and costume, while the beak, eyes and smaller details are completed individually. Each figure has slight variations in its brushwork.Place her on a shelf, desk or sideboard among books and collected objects. Erna is intended for indoor decoration. Every fairy tale requires a transformation; hers appears to have included a much better wardrobe.

Six steps, many hands and one unmistakable character. From the first sketch to the final inspection, every figure is created with careful craftsmanship. Depending on its size, it is either cast in resin or handcrafted in fibreglass. Layer by layer, the colour is applied by hand. No two pieces are exactly alike — the artist’s hand always remains visible.
