Owl Berta
Berta is an owl for collectors and admirers of wisdom, although her spectacular wardrobe suggests knowledge need not dress quietly. Golden Hour, Ivory Santorini and Silver Moon finishes give her familiar watchful form three distinct moods.Each Berta is cast in marble resin, trimmed, sanded and painted by hand. Metallic tones, colour and freehand ornament are layered across the feathers and body, with the eyes and fine details completed last. Every owl varies slightly.Place her on a shelf, desk or cabinet where her forward gaze can meet the room. Berta is intended for indoor decoration. She symbolises wisdom, but appears sensible enough not to reveal everything she knows.

Six steps, many hands and one unmistakable character. From the first sketch to the final inspection, every figure is created with careful craftsmanship. Depending on its size, it is either cast in resin or handcrafted in fibreglass. Layer by layer, the colour is applied by hand. No two pieces are exactly alike — the artist’s hand always remains visible.
