Side Table Cirque Royal
Cirque Royal is a side table with a round top, a slender metal stem and a base that appears to have arrived from backstage. It holds a drink or lamp without occupying much floor, then adds checked stockings, gold shoes and a black feather trim to ensure nobody describes the solution as ordinary.The wooden top and metal stem are assembled and finished by hand. Layers of colour and freehand ornament cover the circular surface, while the marble-resin shoes and black-and-white base are painted separately. The feather trim is added as the final theatrical detail. Three colourways — Sevilla, Jardin Bohème and Belle Époque — alter the top without changing the character. No two tables are identical.Place Cirque Royal beside a sofa, reading chair or bed, or use it in the hallway where a narrow footprint matters. The height works well for a lamp, glass or book. Clean with a dry cloth, avoid solvents and keep the painted surface out of direct midday sunlight. It is intended for indoor use. The table performs a simple job; the shoes have chosen to make more of it.
