Marie-Antoinette is a round wooden side table with four slender legs, a useful top and the kind of footwear that makes minimalism feel underprepared. Signature and Silver Moon colourways change the mood, but both keep the baroque outline, striped legs and pointed shoes firmly in place.Each table is built and finished by hand. Layers of coral, turquoise, green and black-and-white pattern travel across the top, apron and legs, with curling ornament drawn freehand around every curve. The shoes and hanging details are picked out last, where the narrow edges require a steady brush. The surface is sealed for daily use, and no two Marie-Antoinette tables are identical.Place her beside a sofa, between armchairs or next to a bed where the round top can hold a lamp, drink or stack of books. She also works in a hallway beneath a mirror, especially when the surrounding furniture is simpler. Use a dry cloth, avoid solvents and protect the painted surface from direct midday sunlight.
