Little Leonard B. is the compact conductor of the family, formally dressed and already lifting his baton towards an orchestra only he can see. The smaller scale has done nothing to reduce his authority. If anything, he appears more determined to be taken seriously.Each Little Leonard B. is cast in marble resin, released, trimmed and sanded by hand. Deep blue, pale green and black-and-white sections are painted in layers across his tailcoat and body, with curling ornament drawn freehand around the figure. His open mouth, shoes, hands and conductor’s baton are completed carefully at the narrow edges. The pattern shifts with every brush, so no two Little Leonard B. characters are identical.He belongs on a sideboard, hallway console, music cabinet or generous shelf where the baton remains visible. Little Leonard B. is substantial enough to hold a surface alone but small enough to move whenever the room changes. Place him near records, books or a piano if one is available; he will assume responsibility immediately. He is intended for indoor decoration. Musical training is optional. Confidence in the tempo is already included.
