Bodhi is a Buddha head raised on a tall black pedestal, calm above a column of colour and ornament. The long proportions give the figure a quiet authority, while the painted base makes it clear that serenity need not arrive dressed in beige.Each Bodhi combines wood and marble resin and is finished by hand. The head is worked in warm metallic tones, while layered orange, blue and black-and-white pattern travels across the upper pedestal. The face, curls and narrow borders are completed carefully at the end. Bodhi is produced as a numbered limited edition of 200 hand-finished pieces, and variations in the brushwork ensure no two are identical.Place Bodhi on the floor in an entrance, living room or quiet corner where the full vertical line can be seen. A plain wall gives the head and painted pedestal room to hold the space alone. Bodhi is intended for indoor decoration. When the edition is finished it will not be repeated.
