Giraffe Gloria
Gloria is a warm-hearted giraffe lady in the Tom’s Drag tradition. Her tall silhouette, expressive face and removable cigarette give her the air of someone pausing between excellent stories.Each figure is formed in marble resin and finished by hand. Layered colour and freehand ornament define the costume and character, while the face and smaller details receive careful attention. Individual brushwork gives every piece slight variations.Place Gloria indoors on a stable shelf, plinth or floor-level display where her profile can be seen. The cigarette is removable. She has the largest heart in the room, and quite possibly the best anecdote.

Six steps, many hands and one unmistakable character. From the first sketch to the final inspection, every figure is created with careful craftsmanship. Depending on its size, it is either cast in resin or handcrafted in fibreglass. Layer by layer, the colour is applied by hand. No two pieces are exactly alike — the artist’s hand always remains visible.
