Lady Martha
Martha is one of the merry widows from the Characters Collection: a recognisable type carried into comic absurdity through posture, costume and colour. She looks entirely capable of turning a respectable afternoon into a much better evening. Each figure is formed in fibreglass and finished by hand. Layered colour and freehand ornament define the costume and character, while the face and smaller details receive careful attention. Individual brushwork gives every piece slight variations.Place Martha in an entrance or living room where the life-sized character can greet the room. Intended for indoor decoration, she pairs naturally with Lydia and Ruth. The gathering may become lively, but never dull.

Complete Collection
painted, never printed
Six steps, many hands and one unmistakable character. From the first sketch to the final inspection, every figure is created with careful craftsmanship. Depending on its size, it is either cast in resin or handcrafted in fibreglass. Layer by layer, the colour is applied by hand. No two pieces are exactly alike — the artist’s hand always remains visible.
