Lady Ruth
Ruth joins the merry widows of the Characters Collection with the composed look of someone who has heard every rule and improved several of them. Familiar attributes become playful theatre rather than a fixed identity.Each figure is formed in fibreglass and finished by hand. Layered colour and freehand ornament define the costume and character, while the face and smaller details receive careful attention. Individual brushwork gives every piece slight variations.Give Ruth a clear floor position where her costume and expression can be appreciated. Six steps, many hands and one unmistakable character. From the first sketch to the final inspection, every figure is created with careful craftsmanship. Depending on its size, it is either cast in resin or handcrafted in fibreglass. Layer by layer, the colour is applied by hand. No two pieces are exactly alike — the artist’s hand always remains visible.
