Maid Claire
Claire is a life-sized maid with a tray held at shoulder height and the upright composure of someone who has already noticed every untidy detail in the room. Her black-and-white uniform is formal. The painted ornament down one side suggests she has made several revisions of her own.Each Claire is formed in fibreglass and finished by hand. Black, white, coral, turquoise and gold-toned details are painted in layers along the tall figure, with freehand ornament running down the apron and side. The face, tray, hands and narrow uniform details are completed carefully at the end. No two Claires carry the pattern identically.She belongs on the floor in an entrance, dining room, private bar or living room where her full height can be seen.
