The expression suggests he has interrupted it to settle an important matter.Each Max is cast in marble resin, released, trimmed and sanded by hand. Yellow, coral, turquoise and black-and-white patterns are painted in layers across the costume, with every stripe and curl drawn freehand. The face, gloves, hat and shoes are completed carefully at the narrow edges. No two Max figures carry the pattern identically.Place him on a shelf, desk, sideboard or hallway console where the outstretched arms have room. Max works alone or beside other clowns, especially when one of them appears to need direction. He is intended for indoor decoration. What he is pointing at remains unclear. His confidence in the instruction does not.
