The pose is relaxed, the balance exact and the expression entirely unconcerned with how either is being achieved.Each Caprice is cast in marble resin, released, trimmed and sanded by hand. Layers of coral, blue, green and orange travel across the reclining body, while black-and-white checks are drawn freehand along the extended leg. The face, hands and metal dish are completed carefully at the edges, where the long horizontal line must remain clear. The pattern falls differently on every figure, so no two Caprices are identical.She belongs on a broad shelf, sideboard or dining table where her full length has room to register. Caprice sits especially well at the end of a low arrangement, turning the candle into its highest point without appearing to make an effort. Use a tealight of the intended size, keep the flame clear of painted sections and never leave it unattended. Let wax cool before lifting it away, then clean with a dry cloth. Caprice is intended for indoor decoration and evenings with a little more balance than usual.
