Green, orange, blue and red layers follow the long reclining form, with black-and-white details drawn freehand around the arms and legs. The face, hands and 7 cm metal dish are finished carefully, preserving the narrow points that give the pose its balance. The brush shifts from one figure to the next, so no two Cirque de Paris acrobats are identical.Place the figure on a dining table, wide mantelpiece or sideboard where the horizontal silhouette can stretch without interruption. It works well beside books or a low vase, with the candle extending the line rather than competing with it. Use a tealight of the intended size, keep the flame clear of painted sections and never leave it unattended. Let wax cool before removing it, then use a dry cloth. Cirque de Paris is for indoor decoration. The acrobat may look casual; the candle still requires attention.
