Colombina reclines on one arm while a perfectly straight leg lifts the tealight above her. The second leg remains raised for no obvious practical reason, which is exactly why the pose works. She appears composed, watchful and entirely certain the candle belongs at that height.Each Colombina is cast in marble resin, released, trimmed and sanded by hand. Layers of green, coral, blue and black-and-white pattern follow the long lines of her body, with every section drawn freehand. Her face, dark gloves and 7 cm metal dish are completed carefully at the narrow edges. Small changes in line and colour reveal the route of the brush, so no two Colombinas are identical.She belongs on a dining table, mantelpiece or sideboard where the vertical leg and reclining body can be read together. Colombina works alone or beside another acrobat at a different height, creating an arrangement without requiring symmetry. Use a tealight of the intended size, keep the flame clear of painted sections and never leave it unattended. Allow wax to cool before removing it, then clean with a dry cloth. She is intended for indoor decoration. Her balance is part of the performance; safe candle use remains yours.
