Monte Carlo is an acrobatic partnership with a clear division of responsibility. One figure provides the improbable balance; the other sits above, holding a tealight dish as though this were the most practical arrangement available. Together they turn one small flame into a complete performance.The duo is cast in marble resin, released, trimmed and sanded by hand. Layers of blue, red, green and orange follow the two linked bodies, with black-and-white details drawn freehand around the limbs. The faces, hands and raised dish are finished separately, where the balance depends on clean edges and a steady brush. The pattern shifts with every figure, so no two Monte Carlo duos are identical.Place them on a dining table, mantelpiece or sideboard where the stacked silhouette can be seen from the side. One is enough to anchor an evening arrangement without needing a matching partner; Monte Carlo already brought one. Use a tealight of the intended size, keep the flame clear of the painted figures and never leave it unattended. Allow wax to cool before removing it, then clean with a dry cloth. Their balance is excellent. The same should still be expected of the candle.
